The initial showers of affection.

The initial showers of affection.

Ahmad and Fatima resided in the community. Frequently passed each other from afar without exchanging words with one another. Ahmad was a reserved youth who found his heart racing every time he caught a glimpse of Fatimas captivating face. Despite the sparkle that appeared in his eyes whenever he glanced at Fatima Ahmad never mustered the courage to convey his feelings to her.

One afternoon the rain poured down on the city causing chaos and destruction everywhere, in its path. Ahmad made his way from a long day at work when he spotted Fatima standing under the pouring rain with a radiant smile on her face. Curious about her enjoyment of the rain shower despite getting drenched in it Ahmad approached her. Asked with a grin on his face,”Do you find joy, in being soaked by the rain?”

Fatima. Responded with joy, in her voice. “Absolutely! Each raindrop brings me happiness.”

It was the beginning of their conversation as they found themselves caught in the rain together for the time. Ahmed kindly shared his umbrella with her. They began walking side by side under its shelter. In the quietness of that moment, amidst the raindrops falling gently around them an unspoken bond seemed to form between them. The silence between them seemed to draw their hearts on this unexpected journey under the umbrella. It felt like a shower of affection marking the beginning of something, between them.

After a few days passed by Ahmed finally mustered the courage to confess his feelings to Fatima. With a smile, on her face Fatima responded warmly saying, “How long have you been keeping this from me?”
